During the Convocation Dr. Williams explained how the bell directed the student body and teachers to their daily tasks. Waking up, prayer, breakfast, class 1/2, lunch, class 2/3, activity, and finally study. That was the schedule from Monday through Friday. On Sunday's the bell rang for church and prayer. On Saturday the bell did not ring. Dr. Williams also spoke how some students tied the bell string to a cows tail. He was so tickled when he thought of that bell ringing every time the cow moved. He chuckled reconciling how everyone didn't know rather to pray, eat, or go to class!!!
